 PERFORMANCE EVENTS

The Two Pianos performances cycle through significant dates and places in the characters' lives.

  • Philadelphia PA: 9 June 2018: The Two Pianos concert documentary premieres at the original Mary Louise Curtis Branch of the Settlement Music School where Anna taught for forty years, accompanied by an exhibit, discussion, and reception to meet the performers. It celebrates the June 1908 week in which both Anna and Halina were born.

  •  Leipzig Germany: 29-30 June 2019: Two performance events plus exhibits at Grieg Haus and the Leipzig Conservatory, sponsored by The Synagogue & Meeting Center Leipzig eV as part of  Leipzig's bi-annual "Jewish Week" in the musical city where Two Pianos begins.

  • Newark NJ, 27 Oct. 2019: Concert documentary perfoprmance plus an expanded exhibit at the Paul Robeson Campus Center, Rutgers University-Newark, where Halina concluded her career as Professor of Piano. The date marks Halina's forced expulsion from Nazi Germany to Poland together with thousands of other legally-resident Polish Jews -- the first mass deportation of Jews from the German Reich (28-29 October 1938).
